Product Information
What is diacetyl and do any of your products contain it?
Diacetyl is a synthetic ingredient that is used in butter flavorings found in many products, like cake mixes, pastries, flour, crackers and many brands of microwave popcorn. There is no added diacetyl in Trail's End microwave popcorn.
Are Trail's End products Kosher?
All Trail's End products are certified Kosher under the supervision of the Kashruth Division of the Orthodox Union and are labeled as such (except for Trail's End Gourmet Trail Mix). Click here to view our Kosher Certificate.
Is your corn GMO-free?
Yes. All of our popcorn is 100% GMO-free. (GMO stands for genetically modified organism). We develop and grow our own seeds that are then used by farmers to grow the final product: popcorn. Because we control the quality every step of the way ? from early seed development all the way through to the field production of the popcorn ? we can ensure that the growing process is entirely GMO-free. In addition, we have an independent third party certify that we are GMO-free for all shipments of corn.
What's the shelf life of your products?
All of our microwave products have a shelf life of 18 months. Our popping corn kernels have a shelf life of 12 months. All of our gourmet ready-to-eat products (caramel, chocolate, cheese, pretzels, almonds, and trail mix tins) have a shelf life of nine months.
Where are Trail's End products produced and packaged?
All products are manufactured and packaged exclusively by Weaver Popcorn Company, Inc., in Van Buren, Indiana, and meet FDA requirements for both direct and indirect food contact. All packaging materials purchased for our products are in compliance with and are acceptable for use as described under the FDA regulations for direct food contact. All Trail's End popcorn products contain popcorn grown in the United States using proprietary Weaver-developed seeds.
Is Trail's End packaging recyclable?
Yes. Our microwave cartons can be recycled at any facility that recycles cardboard and paper. Our tins are recyclable and can be included with soup cans and vegetable cans.
What is the Military Donation?
The Military Donation allows you to support the military and Scouting at the same time. Trail's End partners with Support Our Troops to send various Trail's End products to men and women in the military. There are no shipping and handling charges associated with the Military Donation; Trail's End and Support Our Troops ships the products directly to the troops!

Why are chocolate items unavailable?
Due to warm temperatures across the United States, we currently do not offer our chocolate items because of the risk of melting during transit. Chocolate items will be available again after Labor Day.
Nutritional/Allergen Information
I am allergic to wheat gluten. Do you have any wheat gluten-free products?
Yes. Our microwave popcorn products, Gourmet Trail Mix, Cheese Lover's Tin, Chili Lime Almonds, Wasabi Soy Almonds, Popping Corn Bucket, Caramel Corn, Caramel Corn with Almonds, Pecans and Cashews, and Caramel Corn Light do not contain wheat gluten.

I am allergic to dairy. What products do you offer that do NOT contain dairy ingredients?
Trail's End products that do NOT contain any dairy ingredients are our Wasabi Soy Almonds and our Popping Corn Bucket; however, the Wasabi Soy Almonds may contain milk and the Popping Corn Bucket is manufactured in a facility that handles milk, tree nuts and soy.

I am allergic to nuts. What products can I buy that are nut-free?
Trail's End Microwave Popcorn is nut-free. The production lines that run any peanuts or tree nuts are located in the same facility as our microwave lines, but they are in a different, segregated area of our production plant. There is no co-mingling of the production lines.
Our Cheese Lover's Tin, Caramel Corn Light, Chocolate Lover's Tin, Popping Corn Bucket, and Caramel Corn do NOT contain nut ingredients; however, they are manufactured in a facility that handles tree nuts. Our Yogurt-Covered Pretzels do NOT contain nut ingredients, but are processed on equipment that also processes peanuts and tree nuts.

Are there any trans fats in any of your products?
All of our products contain 0g of trans fat except our Unbelievable Butter Microwave Popcorn.

Why don't you use palm oil in your microwave popcorn like other popcorn companies do?
While palm oil eliminates trans fats, it also significantly increases saturated fats. Palm oil, like most tropical oils, also contributes to deforestation in Southeast Asia.
Order Information
I just placed an order. When will my credit card be charged?
After submitting an order, the credit card used for the order will be charged upon shipment of the order.
Are my purchases on trails-end.com tax deductible?
Because you actually receive products in exchange for your payment, only a portion of your purchase is tax deductible. The portion that is tax deductible is typically the difference in the amount you would normally pay if you bought a similar item at the grocery store vs. the price of the product you purchased on trails-end.com. Shipping and Handling charges are NOT tax deductible. We urge you to consult your tax professional to confirm this as well.
Military Donation:
When you purchase the Military Donation you are making a charitable contribution since you don't receive actual product in exchange for your payment. This means that the purchase should be 100% tax deductible. As always, make sure to double check this with your tax professional, as tax laws often change.
Do you accept cancellations or returns?
No, we do not accept order cancellations or returns. 70% of every purchase from trails-end.com is returned to the Scout, his troop or pack and his council. Due to the fundraising nature of the site, we cannot cancel an order or accept any returns.
Shipping and Delivery Information
What is the delivery time of online orders?
The orders are shipped from our warehouse in central Indiana using FedEx Ground or FedEx Standard Overnight. All orders shipped by FedEx Ground should arrive within 3 to 9 business days. We do not ship to PO Boxes. We do ship to APO/FPO addresses. All orders sent to an APO/FPO address will ship via USPS and could take up to four weeks for delivery.
Can I ship my order to an APO or FPO address?
Yes, trails-end.com does allow customers to send orders to military APO and FPO addresses. All orders sent to an APO/FPO address will ship via USPS and could take up to four weeks for delivery.
Do you ship to Alaska, Hawaii and/or Puerto Rico?
Yes, customers can ship Trail's End products to Alaska, Hawaii and Puerto Rico.
Can I ship my order to an address outside of the United States?
Not at this time. Trails-end.com only accepts shipping and billing addresses within the United States, Puerto Rico and the Virgin Islands.
How do I know if my order has shipped?
After you have placed an order on trails-end.com an order confirmation email will be sent to the email address listed in your profile. When your order ships (usually within two business days of order placement) you will receive a ship confirmation email with tracking information.
