Hi and Thank You for Stopping By.

My name is Alexander and I am in the Boy Scouts.  I have been a Scout now for 7 Years and very proud of it.  I am also proud to say I have made it to our Local Council's Hall of Fame for the past 5 years and have also raised over $32,000.00 Dollars worth of popcorn sales and donations in the last 7 years to help Support Scouting.  NOTE: It takes a minimum of $2500 to get into our Atlanta Area Scouting Hall of Fame and in 2011 $3500 for the  Great White Shark Sellers Club which I was lucky enough to be in. It has been a wonderful experience for me because I get to meet a lot of great people and their pets.  You see I love animals (mainly dogs) and having fun. Dogs love me :)  Hopefully I will also meet some new friends.

The year before last as a Webelos II (5th Grader) Scout, I sold $6800 worth of popcorn. Our local newspaper - the Marietta Daily Journal did a wonderful Front Page story about me and my success.  Our East Cobb Neighbor also did a Front Page story about me. To read about it go to www.Popcorn-King.com.  The domain name was a gift from one of my wonderful customers.

This past year (6th Grade) I became a Boy Scout and also became a middle schooler.  The work load was much heavier than expected however I still managed to sell $6158.00 worth of delicious Trail's-End popcorn and became the Atlanta Area's Council's all time highest fundraiser selling popcorn. I was lucky enough to become number one this year and very excited about the trophy I received. A special thanks to all my friends (customers) who made this happen. I was also honorory captain of the braves which was really cool Boy Scout to be Honored by Atlanta Braves on Sunday.

What seems to surprise some is what different professionals say I am... Autistic (Aspergers) so I need to work very hard for people to understand me and Scouting helps me do this.  My parents just tell me that I am very special and have a Wonderful Gift to be able to think differently.  They say I can communicate with about 1 out of 600 with not much difficulty and the rest of the 599 I need to work a little harder.  The "other (599)" my parents call Neuro-Typical Thinkers should take a little time to understand me but most do not.  In the mean time I need to learn the skills to be a Bi-Lingual Thinker. Seeing people door to door is great "social skills training" my parents say and all I really know is that Raising Money by Selling Delicious Popcorn… truly helps Scouting.

This past year 7th grade year has been much more challenging but our weather was with me and countless hours later I was able to sell $7638 worth of popcorn beating my all time high and lots of people were cutting back so I had to ad more neighborhoods which takes lots more time.  However I keep missing my goal of $10,000 because that is very hard to do.  My dad said I spend sooo much time playing with the kids and dogs I meet when I sell that there are not enough hours in the day to reach my goals.  I don't understand doesn't every day have 24 hours?  He also said that this is what it is all about.  I do like my hundreds of mini hang-out sessions but really wished I could sell more than $100 online. Yes this is correct.  The rest of my sales are all face to face.  This year I was top seller for our area of 35,000 scouts and was one of 40 or so boys who made it to the $2500 Hall of Fame.  We all worked really hard and could not have done it without support from our communities and family. THANKS.  The photo on the front page with my "Unbelievable Butter Popcorn Car" was only $2800 worth of popcorn so imagine how many boxes $7600 worth of popcorn there were.  Thanks mom for giving up your dining room and hall way and and and. :)  My sisters are sisters but they are great. This web site was one way I thought I could really meet my goal last year and the year before and hopefully this year as well but so far - no.  As a Tiger (1st Grader) I raised a little over $300.  As a Wolf (2nd Grader) I raised a little over $400.  As a Bear (3rd Grader) I raised $2714.  As a Webelos-I (4th Grader) I raised $6419.77.  Last year my goal is to beat my past 4 years combined.  Yes, I planned on raising over $10,000.00 as a Webelos-II (5th Grader) and my last year as a Cub Scout. Unfortunately the weather was so bad last year I fell short of my $10K goal and only sold $6800 worth of popcorn. Now I did beat my record from the previous year and became Top Seller for the Atlanta Area Council. I earned a lot of cool things and was in our local paper. The next year I only did $6200 and was top seller for the second straight year.  Though the council stopped the prizes (bad economy thing I keep hearing about) I still like being the Popcorn King.  Kind of fun and something I am proud of.  I am planning on putting up some of my favorite photos so please visit back.

This year my goal is to sell $7000 to make this my very best year to date and I made it by selling $7638 and became number one in Atlanta for the third (3rd) straight year. Please check my blog for updates and how I am doing.  In Middle School there is lots of Homework so I had to lower my goal until I can get a good online campaign going. So far I am not so good at doing this online so I need your help and support. It is much easier for me to do this face to face but it takes many hours to reach such a goal and homework takes up a lot of my time and I want to keep my grades up. My dad said that I need to ask for your help in sending out information in your address book asking for your friends to help support the scouting effort because it is for a great cause and it helps young boys do things that they may not have had the resources to accomplish. So PLEASE I need your help!!!  The Military, my Local Scout Council, current and future scouts needing assistance are depending upon me.  Besides it is a lot of fun being a part of the Atlanta's Area Scouting Hall of Fame.  This year I got to go behind the scenes at the Atlanta Aquarium.

OH, one cool part I almost forgot to tell you about.... The Weaver Popcorn Company, Inc. known by us Scouts as Trail's End started a college fund on my behalf when I earned the right to be in the Atlanta Area Hall of Fame.  The best part... they will do this for every Scout in the Nation who is selling popcorn and has reached the Hall of Fame Statius.  Isn't that outstanding?  Just one more reason to donate...

This is the only Sanction Scout Fund Raiser and why I ask you to Help Support Scouting by buying Delicious Popcorn, Trail Mix, becoming a Corporate Sponsor and or by making a Donation to our Military.  Our Military really deserves a treat and last year Thanks to people like you we have delivered over 700 Tons of Popcorn to our amazing troops, and everyone knows they truly deserve a treat.  Check out my Military section for more interesting tid-bits.

Anyway, I am honored you checked me out and I truly hope we can work together to help support the Scouting Effort.  All purchases help us Fund Fun, Educational Activities and help More Kids Experience all the things that make Scouting  G r e a t ! ! !
